International Installations Engineer Supervisor

This UK company, are one of the market leaders in the installation of Commercial Train & Tram Wash equipment around the world.
They have installations taking place in locations such as Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, etc.
JOB PURPOSE:
With UK and Worldwide travel to our clients sites, you will oversee & manage the installation, commissioning & handover of Commercial Train & Tram Wash equipment.
You will manage local customer supplied teams in each location, who will undertake the groundworks, erection, electrical & water connections under your supervision, with you overseeing & undertaking the final commissioning & handover to the client on location.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Successful supervision of rail, tram & commercial wash installations in the UK and overseas.
• Supervision of a team of locally supplied labour in all aspects to
ensure that the equipment is installed in a safe and cost-effective manner in accordance with the project drawings/documentation and project timing plan.
• Carry out testing and commissioning of wash equipment using the Inspection and Test Procedure (ITP).
• Carry out training in the operation and maintenance of the equipment to client nominated personnel.
• Liaise with the on-site client representative(s) to mitigate any issues that could impact on safety, quality or project timescales.
• On completion of the installation provide feedback of the project performance to ensure improvement opportunities are realised for future installations.
• Service and maintenance of wash equipment in the UK when not working on specific UK or overseas rail projects.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
• To have experience and technical understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and to demonstrate competence of installation and commissioning through relevant work experience.
• Experience of supervising multi-disciplined teams.
• Able to travel overseas for extended periods of time.
• Have good interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels and to manage and influence expectations of both customers and internal staff for the benefit of the project.
• Be able to work on own initiative and to a high standard.
• To have an understanding of carrying out duties as an ambassador of the company.
• Thorough understanding of compliance and management of Health & Safety relevant to this role.
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings, e.g. mechanical, civil, electrical.
• Ability to understand and work in accordance with the project timing plans.
• To be proficient in completing project documentation in a timely manner.
• Must possess a valid UK driving licence and passport.
• Not have any known restrictions with regards to obtaining visa / work permits.
Desirable:
• Formal mechanical and electrical engineering qualification.
• Extensive experience of maintenance and fault-finding practices associated with vehicle wash equipment.
• Experience of working in and adapting to multi-cultural environments
REMUNERATION:- Basic salary + £500per week overseas payment whilst working abroad
